- I have an MKII with an issue, some keys are retriggering the crescendo circuit when I release then, like if a repress then and release them quickly.
It is quite random and it can be 75% managed by releasing the keys very quickly.
Somebody did solve such an issue? thanks
- It sounds like one of the MN300X chips is blown on the top unit.  I've seen this a lot.  It's basically 3 bucket brigade delay ICs in parallel being modulated by three separate LFOs, each at a different rate.  The signal then gets summed together.  When one or more of the BBD chips goes out, the effect is similar to the top unit.  
- I think the MK4 here has not been connected in stereo for the record? Seems one of the 3ph chorus is missing
- I learned about this strange device from being a fan of the Cure, who used this quite a bit in the early '80s - most notably on the 1982 album 'Pornography'. I am used to their sound, and it seems the Mk4 matches much more closely, so naturally the the Mk4 sounds "right" to me. There's no way I'm biased, right?  :P
- I was wondering: does it make a difference if you connect the mark 3/4 in stereo or mono, sound wise?
- Hmm... I actually like the mark4 better, the chorus on it seems a bit more subtle... The mark1 chorus is really exaggerated sounding, to the point where it's sort of annoying.... ^^;

- The lower one is a mk 2 because it has an on/off switch for the modulation. The mk 1 doesn't have that switch; the modulation effect is always on. Cool video; thanks for uploading!
- First impression after 15 seconds: the lower Solina sounds waaaaayyyyyy better.
- Hello, lab of sound, I'm a great passionate of string machine and their restoration  I've a mk4 and don't sound like your mk4!!
Your mk4 has 99% some problem to chorus circuit (retard line or LFO circuit)...
His sound is like only coming out from 2 delay lines instead of 3.
Do it checked by a technician!
- The Mk1 has the real genuine sound. The Mk4 is not bad, but not so good as the Mk1. 
- the old model has a lusher sweeter tail
- Cool comparison. A majority of the time I preferred the older Mk1 but sometimes I liked the Mk4 better. Which ever one happened to sound rawer and brighter is the one I liked! ;-)
